You are invited to join us for presentations, demonstrations and poster sessions about the Real-Time Communications projects created by students in IIT’s School of Applied Technology.

The event takes place Wednesday, April 30, from 6:30 to 9:00 PM. Your presence supports the students, who benefit from your questions and comments. We greatly appreciate your support and are sure that you will come away with new information, ideas and contacts.

Schedule of events:
  • 6:30 PM - coffee, tea and light refreshments: Students will discuss posters that describe key aspects of their work.
  • 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM – Student presentations and demonstrations. The event is scheduled to end at 9 PM. Interested attendees are welcome to tour the lab and to continue discussions with the student team members after the presentations.

    • WaveRTC – a WebRTC Front-end for WAVE two-way radio
    • The Network Transport and Performance (NTAP) Test Bed developments for WebRTC Applications

  • SIP: SIP Performance Benchmarks – Latest results
  • Mobility – the OpenBTS, SIP-based cellular phone system links to the NG911 test bed and the VoIIT test bed

Illinois Institute of Technology Announces 10th Annual Real-Time Communications Conference & Expo

September 30th - October 2nd at Hermann Hall on IIT Main Campus in Chicago


The Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) is pleased to announce that its annual Real-Time Communications Conference (RTC) and Expo will take place September 30 - October 2, 2014 in Hermann Hall on the IIT main campus in Chicago, IL.

The IIT RTC Conference is a globally recognized collaborative event, where industry and academia connect. Leveraging its unique academic setting, this annual conference brings together technical professionals and business executives from the data and telecommunications industry, standards bodies, policy and regulatory institutions, and academic educators and researchers to promote an open exchange of ideas to lead future development in the rapidly changing field of real-time communications.

Hermann Hall is a state-of-the art conference and meeting venue whose layout, services and proximity to the City make it an excellent place to develop the work of the conference and its participants.
